What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Musician position at Compassion Church?
COMPASSION believes that by focusing on growth, development, and healthy culture we can create an interactive worship experience that allows people to encounter God’s presence.
Needs - We already have a solid four piece unit, but we are looking to add to our worship band to lead with excellence. We are currently looking to additional instrumentalists, such as stringed instrumentalist(violinist), percussionist, horn players(saxophonist/trumpet player), additional guitarist(acoustic or electric), additional bassist, additional drummer, and additional pianist. This will be a weekly position with rehearsal time of 7:30am and 2 services (9:01a & 10:30a).
Expectations - As a volunteer musician, you will be expected to show up on time and have a thorough knowledge of the songs that we will be leading each week. Each week's set list will be available to you through Planning Center and you will have multiple weeks in advance to see the set list. More importantly, you're expected to have fun and lead well from the platform!
