Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other needs in a group home or home health setting. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care. Nursing student are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and ensure compliance with health care plans.
- Monitor and document vital signs and health status changes in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities and autism by fostering independence and promoting social engagement.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in CPR, patient care, and other relevant areas.
- Build trusting relationships with clients while providing emotional support and companionship.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of ADLs and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Ability to administer medication safely and effectively while adhering to health regulations.
- Familiarity with CPR techniques and the ability to respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Understanding of HIPAA guidelines to maintain client confidentiality at all times.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others achieve their best quality of life.
