We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients, assessing and evaluating their needs, developing treatment plans, and providing guidance and support to clients and their families. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for helping others, and a strong understanding of the principles of occupational therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess patients to determine their occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Provide instruction to patients on how to use adaptive equipment and techniques to improve their daily functioning.
- Provide education to family members and caregivers on how to assist the patient in their recovery.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Requirements:
- 4 year Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant Licensed in the State of Virginia by PT/OT/AT Board
- CPR Certification
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with co-workers, physicians, patients and families.
- Analytical abilities to evaluate patient condition, capabilities and progress.
- Licensed or registered to practice as an Occupational Therapist / Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
