As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in promoting independence and dignity while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Administer first aid and medication as prescribed.
- Help clients with mobility and physical exercises.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support individuals with disabilities or autism by implementing personalized care plans.
- Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home health, senior care, or memory care preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is an asset.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift or assist clients as needed.
- A valid driver's license may be required based on client needs.
