In Home Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to a client within an Assisted Living Facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including Hospitals, Nursing Homes, In-Home, Assisted Living, etc. This role is crucial for ensuring the well-being and comfort of individuals who require assistance with daily activities due to age, illness, or disability.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
• Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals
• Encourage nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs
• Engage the client in social activities to promote mental well-being
• Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean living environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields
• Knowledge of geriatric care practices
• Ability to work independently while following care plans
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and staff
• Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality care
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is highly desirable
• STNA highly desirable
• Experience with Dementia clients/patients required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• No weekends

Experience:

• Dementia care: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• State Tested Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• First Aid Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Slippery Rock, PA 16057 (Required)
