Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse issues.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Implement treatment plans and interventions under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and document patient behaviors, progress, and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Utilize crisis management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Provide support and guidance to patients in developing coping skills and managing symptoms.
- Implement applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behavior changes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
MUST HAVE DEGREE OR EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD
- Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse issues.
- Knowledge of special education principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in PTSD care or addiction counseling is a plus.
