Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide patient care under the direction of physicians and registered nurses, ensuring the well-being of patients in various medical settings.
Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms, reporting any changes to the medical team
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assist with patient assessments and examinations
- Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques
Skills:
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in home health and hospice procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience in ER or primary care settings
- Familiarity with home health and hospice protocols
- Ability to perform skilled nursing procedures such as wound care, wound vac, foley care, etc.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Understanding of infectious disease care practices
- Experience in discharge planning for patients
- Knowledge of HomeHealth MD and Hospice MD software
