What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Director of Clinical Services position at Compassionate Hospice Care?
Responsibilities:
- Supervision of nursing services
- Interviews, hires, trains, terminates all interdisciplinary staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; conflict resolution
- Quality Assurance for clinical staff
- Employee Performance Evaluations
- Research and incorporate state regulations to keep agency in compliance
- Lead biweekly IDG meetings
- Assists in requesting appropriate care orders and attendance to identified patients needs if the patients attending physician is not available.
- Develop patient care policies and emergency procedures
- Ensures hospice services are available 24/7
- Documents in the patient's clinical record when required
- Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) and Performance Improvement Projects (PIP)
- Supervises field staff to make sure they are following the plan of care.
- Manages the care for a caseload of patients if needed to support the flow of census changes.
- Help with admissions, as needed.
- Management of pharmacy, Medical Supplies, DME, Mileage and Labor program to meet budget expectations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Must be a Registered Nurse licensed by the state.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years nursing experience in home hospice or skilled home care. (hospice preferred)
- Possess professional education and experience commensurate with their assigned responsibilities.
- Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations and accreditation bodies standards preferred.
