What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) position at Compassionate Transportation LLC?
Compassionate Transportation is an Ambulance Company based in Lakeland, Florida and servicing Polk County Florida. We provide BLS for Non-Emergency Transports. We are currently seeking motivated individuals committed to providing excellent patient care to join our team as Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). We offer 24 and 12 hour shifts.
Job Duties Synopsis:
- Provides prompt and efficient care of the patient and stabilization of their condition prior to transport.
- Provides careful transfer of the patient in moving them to the ambulance.
- Provides safe and efficient transport of the patient while constantly monitoring the patient and providing any appropriate continuing care.
- Obtains and records information as well as those required by medical, legal, and health authorities. Is responsible for documenting diagnosis/illness categories and completion of all patient care related documents.
- Makes daily checks of the vehicle equipment and systems and completes manifest; responsible for competent operation of all equipment and systems.
- Additional task as required by supervisors.
Job Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Florida State License EMT Certification
- Red Cross CPR Certification
- Clean Driving Record
- Applicant must successfully complete a pre-employment motor vehicle records check.
- Applicant must successfully complete a pre-employment criminal background check.
- Applicant must successfully complete a pre-employment substance abuse test.
- Applicant must be able to lift at least 150 lbs.
- Applicants must be team players
- Applicant must have reliable transportation to work.
