CompCiti, a growing IT auditing, security, and management company is looking for an experienced, reliable, and task-oriented Systems Administrator.
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the management, monitoring, and maintenance of client systems and IT infrastructure, ensuring uptime, security, and optimal performance. This is an in-office position located in New York, NY. The role involves supporting multiple clients across diverse environments, troubleshooting system issues, and proactively managing infrastructure to meet the SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and client expectations.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, consistently striving to exceed customer expectations.
- Complete technical training and certifications as needed to maintain partnership levels.
- Travel to customer sites in the NY area as required.
- Provide outstanding Level 1/2/3 technical support, both in-person, over the phone, and via remote sessions.
- Assist in training junior engineers and documenting procedures and tasks.
- Resolve as many tickets as possible while meeting SLA requirements.
- Ensure tickets are updated with detailed technical notes and resolved correctly on the first attempt.
- Implement processes and procedures to track and complete tasks outlined in customer MSP offerings.
- Assist with customer onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Support team members with onsite assistance as needed.
- Assist in updating and creating customer documentation.
- Provide technical support for all IT-related hardware, including laptops, desktops, servers, and network equipment.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
- The applicant should be experienced and able to work independently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge and experience using remote access tools
- Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
- Previous experience providing technical customer support over the phone
- Effective time management skills
- Sound troubleshooting skills with an aptitude for problem solving
- Desktop hardware/software knowledge
- Exposure to automation and scripting with tools like PowerShell
Skills & Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred or an equivalent of education
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Help Desk / End User / Desktop support environment
- MSP experience
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks, handle multiple priorities, and perform exceptionally under dynamic work environment
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows 10, 11, and Office 365
- Knowledge of computer operations and standard software packages (word processing, outlook, spreadsheets, Adobe) required
- Experience with ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise Automate a plus
