Competitive Range Solutions requires the expertise of a Subject Matter Expert Senior (Logistics), with at least 10 years’ experience to provide expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to Warehouse and Logistics activities of government furnished equipment located in Gateway sites around the globe as well as a secure storage facility to assist in the direction and management of program’s executive support group. The candidate must reference their ability and experience in working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment and effective integration with a government multi-contractor team.
The Senior Logistics Manager functions and responsibilities include elements such as: provide overall support to the project manager, responsible for the overall direction, management, communication, coordination of deliverables, logistics, and accountability of project-oriented work; track key milestones and schedule project resources to meet the needs of customers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supporting Project Managers, having second-tier responsibility for overseeing all professional field services support provided to DoD with regard to all programs.
- Providing Project Management support, to include developing and maintaining integrated master schedules, creating and submitting program related documentation, preparing and presenting briefings, providing full conference/meeting support, customer outreach, and preparing senior level strategic briefings and metrics as required by the Government, maintaining property accountability, conducting on-site physical inventories, conducting proper DLA disposal procedures and other logistics tasks as assigned my project leads.
- Ensuring the completion and integration of multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Developing service descriptions and project requirements documentation, Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSP), Standard Operations Procedures (SOP), Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP), CONOPs and other documents to support preparation for review boards as required to ensure service delivery and operational support.
- Providing analysis and recommendations in support of the resolution of IT-related problems; executing the recommendations as directed by the client.
- Providing project management strategic communications support, to include policy, process and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) review and development.
- Aiding in the coordination of activities and documents to ensure alignment with plans and directives for delivery of DoD solutions.
- Manages the assigned operational aspects of ongoing projects and reports to the project managers.
- Oversees the status of assigned projects; manages schedules and prepares status reports for the project managers.
- Monitors the assessment of project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Ensures the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, project team and clients.
- Ensures production schedules are met or exceeded.
- Coordinates resolution of deliverable-related problems
- Ability to travel to customer sites, as assigned
- Uses strong planning and organizational skills to ensure timely completion of all milestones and efforts with minimal client disruption.
Qualifications/Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience providing expert Logistics support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter.
- Experience thinking independently and demonstrates exceptional written and oral communications skills.
- Experience applying advanced technical Logistics principles, theories, and concepts.
- Experience contributing to the development of new Logistics principles and concepts.
- Experience working on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
- Experience working under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives.
- Experience determining and pursuing courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
- Experience developing advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Minimum SECRET clearance required; and be eligible for a Top-Secret clearance.
