Our McKesson Brands private label business is seeking a Product Development Coordinator to join our team in Richmond, VA. Candidates must be located in or near Richmond, VA as some onsite meetings and collaboration are required in the office.
Position Description:
The McKesson Brands Product Development Coordinator will support the development and management of McKesson Brands private label products. This role involves collaborating and aligning with cross-functional teams and stakeholders and helping move new product ideas through the different product development process phases. The Product Development Analyst will support innovation, manage timelines, and oversee product life cycles to help deliver high-quality products to the portfolio. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative healthcare products that directly impact patient care and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development Support: Assist in the end-to-end product development process, from concept to launch, ensuring products meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, supply chain management, quality assurance, and legal to help ensure successful product development and on-time launches.
- Project Management: Support project management activities, including timeline management, milestone tracking, and coordination of project meetings.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and organized documentation of development processes and project updates.
- Innovation Contribution: Contribute ideas for new product concepts and enhancements to existing products based on market research and customer feedback.
Minimum Qualifications:
Typically, minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience. May have degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field. Typically requires 1 year of product development experience.
Critical Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
- Innovative mindset with a passion for creating new products.
- Understanding of healthcare market and the dynamic competitive landscape.
- Familiarity with healthcare products and regulatory requirements is a plus.
