What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Alarm Technician position at Complete Building Services?
About the Role
As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be certified NICET level II Certified Manufacturer trained and experienced in the most current National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and Unified Facilities Codes (UFC) standards regarding inspection, testing and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems, Transmitter Panels receiver and repeater (Kingfisher) and Wet and Dry Fire Suppression Systems. Responsible for providing service, testing, and installation of fire alarm systems and devices.
Additional responsibilities of the Fire Alarm Technician include:
- Complete activities directly related to fire alarm service and installation
- Complete documentation associated with fire alarm services provided
- Customer service, coordination, and communication
- Technical fire protection system project and administrative support
- Ability to work independently or supervise others as required
- Preparing work schedules, plans, and carrying out assigned duties
You Should Have
We are looking for:
- Top Secret/SCI clearance required
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with fire alarm systems
- Factory trained NICET II Certification or higher (Associate Engineering Technician)
- Proficiency with computer skills, MS Excel, Email
- Strong customer service skills and communications
- Familiarity with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and local codes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
