Unit Clerk Qualifications & Responsibilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous long-term care experience ordering supplies
- Computer knowledge
- Ability to work independently or part of a group
- Fill requisitions from departments for routine supplies and equipment
- Stock supply rooms and nutrition rooms on each unit with medical supplies
- Ensure inventory is updated as required, when receiving/issuing supplies and equipment
- Organize storage and catalog locations of supplies and equipment for efficient handling and to prevent deterioration
- Pass out ice water to residents, make beds, and answer residents call lights.
- Report on all accidents and incidents you observe as soon as possible.
- Report all changes in the resident’s condition to the Charge Nurse or Unit Manger.
- Answer phones as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by the Unit Manager, Director of Nursing, and Administrator
