RN or LPN Unit Manager Qualifications & Re sponsibilities : Associates or Bachelor’s Deg re e in Nursing Cur re nt, Unencumbe re d New Jersey Re gi s te r e d N u r s e License or Practical Nurse License P re vious long-term ca re experience is p re fer re d but not re qui re d Prior experience as a Unit Manager preferred Prior experience managing staff is p re fer re d Supervise the nursing staff on assigned shift by : monitoring the distribution of medications, blood draws , and other elements of patient ca re . Conduct nursing rounds on all each unit multiple times throughout the shift Provide education, as needed, to staff, re sidents and re sident family members Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate t re atment plans Track t re atments and patient prog re ss according to HIPAA guidelines Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensu re smooth re c overy process for re sidents Ensu re staff a re performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines Other duties as assigned by Assistant Di re c tor of Nursing, Di re c tor of Nursing or Administrator Complete Ca re at Ocean Grove is an equal opportunity employer.
