Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Regional MDS Coordinator to join our team in Central Jersey. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with MDS (Minimum Data Set) requirements across our facilities. The Assistant Regional MDS Coordinator will collaborate closely with Regional MDS Coordinators and facility staff to maintain accurate and timely completion of MDS assessments and related documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Regional MDS Coordinators in overseeing MDS assessments and care planning processes.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide training and support to facility staff on MDS documentation and coding.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident care plans.
- Travel to various facilities within the Central Jersey region as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MDS coordination within a skilled nursing facility setting.
- Strong understanding of MDS assessment processes and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within Central Jersey.
- RN license in NJ required.
