We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Director of Social Work to oversee and support the social services teams across our facilities in South Jersey.
Position Overview:
The Regional Director of Social Work will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to the social work departments across multiple facilities. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, promotes quality resident care, and supports the development and implementation of best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Oversight:
Provide mentorship, training, and support to facility-level Directors of Social Work and social services teams.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor and assess the quality of social work services.
Compliance & Quality:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to social services.
Implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives.
Collaborate with facility leadership to address survey findings and implement corrective actions.
Resident Advocacy:
Promote resident rights and advocate for their needs.
Support facilities in handling complex psychosocial cases.
Staff Development:
Provide ongoing education and training to enhance the skills and knowledge of social work staff.
Identify and address performance gaps and implement improvement plans.
Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing, therapy, and administration, to enhance resident outcomes.
Serve as a liaison between facility social work departments and regional/corporate leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW preferred).
Current licensure as a Social Worker in applicable states.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in social work within long-term care or healthcare settings.
Previous regional or multi-facility leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel regularly to facilities across the region.
