Complete Care at Whispering Woods Assisted Living is seeking an experienced and dedicated Wellness Director (Director of Nursing - DON) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest quality of care for our residents. Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily clinical operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote resident wellness and safety.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Conduct regular assessments of residents to ensure individualized care plans are developed and maintained.
Coordinate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes.
Manage infection control and quality assurance programs.
Monitor and ensure proper documentation of all resident care.
Oversee staff training, education, and ongoing professional development.
Respond to emergency situations and provide guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a nursing leadership role within an assisted living or long-term care setting.
Strong knowledge of assisted living regulations, policies, and procedures.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to foster a positive, team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of care.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation.
