Infection Preventionist-LPN or RN Qualifications & Responsibilities:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License or Practical Nurse License
- 1 year of Wound care/infection prevention experience preferred
- Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required
- Provide patient care based on scientific principles/nursing theory and evidence-based practice
- Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately
- Prioritize nursing actions including reflecting patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes
- Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on wound care processes and issues
- Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator.
