Director of Social Services Qualifications & Responsibilities :
- Directs, establishes & plans the overall policies / goals for the Social Services Dept
- Maintain accurate , thorough, and timely documentation.
- Participates in interdisciplinary care plan meetings to ensure treatment of the social and emotional needs of the resident
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Review Advanced Directives and provide education to residents and family members as needed.
- Help provide a smooth admission and discharge process for residents and family members.
- Other duties as assigned by Administrator.
- Prior experience managing staff is preferred.
- Ability to work independently or part of a n interprofessional team
- Computer knowledge.
- Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required
