Responsibilities of a Cook:

• Prepare and cook meals for residents according to facility menus and dietary restrictions.

• Ensure food is prepared in accordance with safety and sanitation regulations.

• Assist with menu planning and portion control.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.

• Ensure proper storage of food and ingredients in compliance with food safety guidelines.

• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

• Assist in the daily inventory of food supplies and help order ingredients as needed.

• Serve meals to residents in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications of a Cook:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Previous cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

• Ability to follow recipes and adhere to portion control guidelines.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
