Cable Technician
Complete Control, Inc. is accepting applications for a Cable Technician to serve the Wisconsin area. This is mainly central & northern Wisconsin but travel may include other parts of the state. This position is responsible for assisting in the installation, job start up, check out, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Fire & Security systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install and mount devices, panels, sensors, and components
- Terminate field devices and control panels
- Installation of low-voltage cabling such as voice, data, security, paging, nurse-call systems, fire alarm, etc.
- Cross connect cable
- Terminate cable according to color codes
- Test for polarity, connectivity, and repair
- Complete all required paperwork promptly and accurately
- Communicate with manager/dispatcher regarding new developments, changes, or customer issues
Requirements and/or Preferences:
- Ability to work independently in a timely and cost-efficient manner
- Ability to problem solve with an attention to details
- Ability to utilize small hand & power tools
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass random drug testing
- Experience with low-voltage systems or cabling is preferred
- Working knowledge of Fire alarm, security access, CCTV, and
- electrical concepts and operations would be helpful
- Ability to use a personal laptop and smart phone
