Job Responsibilities:
A dental assistant is a vital member of our dental team who provides support to dentists and helps ensure that dental procedures run smoothly. The primary responsibilities of a dental assistant at Complete Dental Care include:
- Patient Care: Greeting patients, making them feel comfortable, and preparing them for dental procedures. This may involve taking medical histories, 3d scans, recording vital signs, and explaining procedures to patients.
- Chairside Assistance: Assisting dentists during procedures by handing them instruments, holding suction devices, and passing materials. This also includes monitoring patients during procedures to ensure their safety.
- Sterilization: Sterilizing and disinfecting dental instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Administrative Tasks: Scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing inventory.
- Radiography: Taking dental X-rays and ensuring that they are of high quality.
- Patient Education: Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, such as brushing and flossing, and providing information on treatments and procedures.
- Dental Lab Assistance: Assisting in the creation of dental prosthetics, such as dentures and crowns with the use of Cerec and 3d printing technologies.
Qualifications:
- On-the-job experience as a Dental Assistant or completion of a Dental Assisting program.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of dental software and record-keeping systems.
- Basic computer skills.
