Overview
Complete Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience in pediatric dentistry and familiarity with dental software systems such as Open Dental Software will be considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and equipped with appropriate instruments.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
- Understanding of infection control practices and HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
