Overview
Complete Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience in pediatric dentistry and familiarity with dental software systems such as Open Dental Software will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and equipped with appropriate instruments.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
  • Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
  • Understanding of infection control practices and HIPAA regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
