Privately owned and operated for over 20 years, Complete Design & Packaging (CDP) has grown from a small brown box manufacturer into a state-of-the-art sheet feeder plant specializing in high graphic packaging and Point-Of-Purchase displays.
We currently have an opening for an experienced CDL Class A Truck Driver. This is a first shift position with a same day, local route. Under general supervision, the ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our manufacturing plant to customer sites using our tractor-trailer truck.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Operates trucks with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds per gross vehicle weight.
· Delivers loads with attention to customer service and safety in a timely manner.
· Manages proof of delivery paperwork from customers.
· Inspects mechanical aspects of the vehicle, troubleshoots for safety issues, and performs necessary preventative maintenance.
· Handles unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.) with adaptability and foresight.
· Adheres to laws on commercial vehicle operation as per Federal, State, and local authorities.
· Performs related tasks as required or directed by a supervisor.

Requirements
· Be at least 21 years of age or older.
· Be a High School Graduate or the equivalent.
· Be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
· Be in possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
· Be able to pass a criminal background check with no recent moving or driving violations.
· Be able to pass a DOT drug and alcohol test with no prior positive tests or refusals.
· Be able to pass a DOT physical exam.
