Job Description
The Field Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of fire sprinkler system installations, repairs, and inspections. This includes managing crews, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating with project managers, clients, and other teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Supervise, coordinate, and direct field personnel during fire sprinkler system installations, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with local and national fire protection codes and safety regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to field crews, ensuring a high level of workmanship, efficiency, and safety.
- Conduct site assessments, coordinate material deliveries, and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Communicate with project managers, clients, and vendors to schedule and plan work activities.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure installations meet company standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any field issues that arise during project execution.
- Ensure all team members are properly trained and have the necessary tools and equipment to complete their tasks.
- Assist with preparing reports, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety documentation.
- Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in the fire sprinkler industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection codes, NFPA standards, and safety regulations.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- NICET certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain within a specified time frame.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with fire sprinkler system design, installation, and maintenance.
