POSITION TITLE: Registered Nurse, Primary Care Clinic
DEPARTMENT: Provider Medical Services
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Practice Manager/Administrator
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
Our primary care clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to our diverse patient population. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for managing patient care, administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans. The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical and communication skills, and have a passion for improving patient outcomes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assess patient health status and develop care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Perform diagnostic tests and screenings, and interpret test results.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with privacy laws.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
- Adhere to nursing standards of practice and code of ethics.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current state nursing license and CPR certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in primary care nursing.
- Excellent clinical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The position requires climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and finger use. Pushing and pulling are occasionally required. Use of a computer, keyboard, and telephone along with various office machines is an essential part of the job.
