Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team that provides care from the heart. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to residents in their home settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves assisting individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitoring their health, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. A strong understanding of resident rights and care plans is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide total care, including all bathroom assistance, hair care, personal grooming, dressing, and meal preparation and serving.
- Monitor the health and well-being of residents, reporting any changes to the Administrative Staff.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain a clean living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support residents with developmental disabilities by fostering independence and promoting personal growth.
- Follow care plans tailored to each resident's needs while respecting their rights and dignity.
- Engage residents in social activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Perform laundry tasks to ensure residents have clean clothes.
- Monitor and check vitals, such as blood pressure and heart rate.
- Accompany residents to doctors’ appointments.
- Assist with bed transfers and return to bed transfers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a caregiving role within assisted living or private home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and medication administration practices.
- Familiarity with clients' rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to cook balanced meals that cater to individual dietary needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Must be able to pass testing for Tuberculosis.
- Must have a valid Covid Vaccination Card.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Must be able to pass background checks (Live Scan Background Check) and HCA Registry.
