What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Assistant position at COMPLETE MOBILE DENTISTRY, INC?
We have an exciting opportunity for full-time Dental Assistants to work in the Albuquerque IHS Dental Clinic. This is a great opportunity to provide exceptional care to urban Native American and Alaskan natives. This facility has 21 dental operatories and will increase to 26. This position will allow you to experience a variety of different tasks.
Job Duties:
- Prepares patient and operatory unit for proper dental procedure including setting up the appropriate instruments for the planned procedures
- Performs orthodontic assisting duties which encompasses most routine orthodontic adjustments in the specialty of orthodontics
- Demonstrates proficiency in sterilization and disinfection techniques
- Completes laboratory work orders in compliance with dentist's instructions
- Assist in office and orthodontic supply inventory
Qualifications:
- Must be along to walk/stand for long periods of time
- Understanding of Orthodontic Dental Assisting
- Have at least one (1) year of clinical dental assisting experience
- Must have completed training or have dental assisting experience within the past three (3) years
