What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector position at Complete Security Systems?
Position Summary: Fire Alarm Inspection Technicians are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems. Inspectors will be working with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards
- Conducting service calls
- Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers fire protection equipment
- Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
- Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site
- Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Required Skills:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Ability to install, inspect, or service fire alarm, fire suppression, and or fire sprinkler systems
- Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both alone and in group settings
- A strong work ethic and professional appearance
- Strong Time Management Skills
- Must be able to work at heights and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to work with power tools
- Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must read and speak English
- Must have valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
Experience:
- Prior experience in inspections, field service, and/or installation preferred but not required
- NICET Certification is preferred but not required
