We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in CNC machine operation, programming, and troubleshooting, with the capacity to produce high-quality machined parts in accordance with specifications. This role requires precision, expertise in using CNC machinery, and a commitment to maintaining high production standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to produce precision
parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine part specifications
and machining requirements.
- Program CNC machines using G-code or CAD/CAM software to optimize machining processes and
ensure high-quality output.
- Monitor the machining process and make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain
tolerances.
- Operate the machine to produce precision plastic parts and components such as downhole tooling,
parts for space stations, remote operated vehicles, and other specialty items.
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using appropriate measuring tools (calipers,
micrometers, gauges) to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Assemble components ensuring all parts fit together correctly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and efficiency.
- Document production activities, including maintaining records of materials used and machine
performance.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical degree or certification in Machining or related field
preferred.
- Must have valid Driver's License and Social Security Card.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with a strong understanding of CNC machine operation and
programming.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Utilize measuring instruments such as bore gauges and calipers to ensure product quality.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software; knowledge of [specific software used] is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

**Physical Requirements:**

**Work hours are Mon-Thurs 6:00 a.m.--4:00 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch.
