West Coast Cure is looking for an energetic and committed
Second Shift Team Lead (2pm. to 10:30pm.)
The Production Team Lead is responsible for supervising the daily activities of a production area / team to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Monitors production activity, identifies process problems, troubleshoots causes and develops solutions. Suggests improvements to improve efficiency or safety. Additionally, delivers or coordinates staff training and on-boards new staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (not in any priority):
Maintain a safe working environment (and ensure personal safe working practices).
Lead and manage a team of production staff to ensure efficient and compliant production processes.
Oversee the processing, formulation, and packaging of cannabis products in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Allocate tasks, provide guidance, and motivate team members to achieve production targets while maintaining product quality.
Collaborate with quality assurance, inventory management, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and product development.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
Conduct regular quality control checks, inspections, and audits to ensure consistent product quality.
Maintain accurate production records, update inventory databases, and generate reports as required.
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments through email and basic computer applications.
Responsible for onboarding of new hires; set up station, provide all needed materials.
Responsible for ensuring daily housekeeping of Production areas.
Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are always followed.
Ensures all safety policies and processes are followed; all proper PPE, and safety standards.
Other duties may apply as required.
Qualification:
High School Diploma, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Requires intense oral, written, and communication skills. Bilingual a plus (Spanish - required).
Requires operational knowledge of using a computer and Microsoft office software.
Must be over 21 to apply (Cannabis Industry Requirement)
Must possess Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a production team.
Required attention to detail for precise formulation, processing, and packaging.
Strong problem-solving abilities to address production issues promptly.
Knowledge of local and state regulations pertaining to cannabis production desired.
Commitment to maintaining quality standards and ensuring product consistency.
Time management skills to meet production targets and deadlines.
Adaptability to changes in processes, equipment, and regulations.
Hourly Wage: $17.50 plus shift differential eligible.
