We are seeking a hardworking, reliable and experienced Senior Accountant who can think critically, and solve problems. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring monthly financials are complete, accurate, and in compliance with GAAP. We are seeking an inquisitive, self-directed, organized, and energetic accounting professional to join our Finance team.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the monthly close process with specific areas of focus including Inventory, Revenue Recognition, prepaids, and accruals in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare journal entries, analysis and reconciliations of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
- Perform monthly financial statements including flux analysis to explain unusual variances.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Recognize and identify process improvement opportunities to increase accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of Finance department activities.
- Interact cross functionally with key business partners to gather all necessary financial data to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting.
- Contribute to special projects such as efficiency efforts and technology implementations.
- Assist in research and implementation of Sales and Local Taxes.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff as needed.
