Serves clients as an assurance and business advisory professional. Supervises complex audits on a regular basis, delegating duties to audit associate level staff. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles with the ability to meet time constraints.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Supervises staff engagements to achieve objectives including staff development, client needs, and engagement profitability.
- Outlines engagement objectives, issues, findings and recommendations in a variety of client situations.
- Reviews workpapers and financial statements prior to manager involvement.
- Manages client relationships with integrity by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
- Provides feedback in order to develop the audit practice.
- Capitalizes on personal and professional experiences in order to develop business and practice lines.
- Supervises and delegates duties to Associate level staff.
- Reviews other accountants’ work for compliance and quality and obtains information to ensure compliance and quality meet regulatory and company standards.
- Determine the accuracy/completeness of the compliance product, perform quality assurance procedures, and prepare the product for delivery.
- Provides mentoring and technical training for staff in the audit department.
- Collaborates with other departments and organization members in conveying technical information.
- Records and monitors time spent on client work
- Set up and monitors audit budget of staff working of projects overseeing
- Participates in the area of business development.
- Participates in community organizations and industry functions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- 3 years audit experience
- Experience handling multiple tasks
- Has research and organizational skills
- Knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
- Skills in networking and developing business.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
- Proficient with computers, Audit software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams and Planner).
