Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible to complete assigned tasks related to facilities maintenance and repair.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
- Report to a Facilities Lead who is responsible for the direction of housekeeping services in the facility.
- Clean and sanitize facilities using established practices and procedure.
- Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
- Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
- Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments.
- Lock and unlock assigned buildings: secure building when facilities are not in use checking for unlocked doors and windows, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights.
- Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.
- Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing debris from sidewalks and stairs
- Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis.
- Wash accessible interior and exterior windows.
- Maintain Cleaning supplies
- Have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, calculating, reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, mathematics, organizing and innovation.
- Attend to emergencies when necessary.
- Attend safety meetings and other related meetings.
- Take classes as required in cleaning methods and techniques, new products, First Aid, CPR, and working relationships.
- Handle recycling materials.
- Safely operate all vehicles and other job-related equipment.
- Support and enforce all CTS policies
- Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
- High School Degree.
Experience:
- 2 years Facilities or Construction or Maintenance experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry and maintenance skills.
- Able to safely use required hand and power tools.
- Able to trouble shoot and repair basic building systems and equipment.
Working Conditions / Environment / Special Requirements
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, FAA, DOT, and State and Federal regulations.
- As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
- Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
