Part-Time Facilities Attendant

Description

The facilities attendant handles an establishment’s overall cleanliness and sanitation. At times, they also perform minor maintenance tasks, logistics work, errands, and ad hoc tasks requested by their supervisors.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

    Cleans, dust, mops, and sweeps assigned areas
    Performs minor maintenance on equipment and fixtures
    Reports on any major maintenance and cleanliness issues to management
    Collects and disposes of trash in the proper manner
    Restocks bathrooms and supply closets
    Ensure that the facility is locked after business hours
    Use common cleaning tools and outdoor power equipment.
    Organizes the janitor closet and stores all supplies and tools.
    Completes minor repairs, like switching lightbulbs and unclogging toilets.
    Fill out janitorial checklists at the end of every shift.
    Follows safety rules and precautions.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

    High school diploma or equivalent
    Can work with minimal supervision
    Familiar with cleaning tools and supplies
    Ability to lift at least 25 lbs
    Open to work shifting schedules and late nights
    Basic administrative techniques
    Computer skills in office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
    Cooperative, organized, interpersonal skills, helpful, and a team player.

Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements

    Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
    May be exposed to loud jet engine noise, machine fumes where PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) equipment usage may be necessary.
