Essential Job Duties:
As a Purchasing Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement process within our organization. You will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively will contribute to the success of our procurement operations.
General Responsibilities:
- Sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations for goods and services required by various departments.
- Review purchase requisitions and ensure they comply with procurement policies and procedures.
- Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure on time delivery schedules.
- Maintain supplier relationships and communicate effectively to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Evaluating supplier performance by managing the KPI’s data and reporting
- Support the procurement team in analyzing market trends, researching potential suppliers, and identifying new opportunities for sourcing.
- Maintaining procurement databases, records, and documentation in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support to the procurement team as needed, including preparing reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain as Buyer preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices is desirable.
- Bilingual English and Spanish required.
