Pharmacy Technician (No weekends)

CompleteRx is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician to provide patient care at our partnered hospital, Horizon Specialty Hospital of Henderson. You'll play a key role in supporting the pharmacy's day-to-day operations.

Compensation:

• $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
• No weekends.

Hospital Overview:

Horizon Specialty Hospital of Henderson is a long-term acute care hospital for patients requiring extended hospitalization to meet the medical and rehabilitation needs; a 39-bed facility.

The hospital is the second Horizon facility in the area, joining Horizon Specialty Hospital of Las Vegas, another long-term acute care facility. At Horizon, the mission is to deliver quality care to the local community at a time when they need us the most.

What You Will Do

• Ensures procurement and distribution of drug orders.
• Identifies and fills replacement medications on emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock accurately.
• Prepares sterile products (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) accurately. Maintains all required USP 797 requirements.
• Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately.
• Rotates stock to ensure use before the expiration date.
• Picks up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.
• Enters charges and credits for patient medications accurately.
• Performs area inspections.
• Computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel.
• Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable drugs.

What You Will Need

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of pharmacy technician experience preferably in a hospital setting.
• Possess current pharmacy technician registration in the State of Nevada.
• Possess an IV certification, preferred.
• Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred.
