Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fleet Manager at Complex Structures Group in Merrillville, IN. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing fleet operations, managing fleet logistics, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations on a daily basis.
Qualifications
- Communication: Monitor fleet performance and maintenance needs, providing assistance for vehicle breakdowns and coordinating repairs.
- Leadership: Mentor and guide our drivers, mechanics, and staff.
- Organizational Skills: Manage multiple tasks, ensuring smooth coordination of daily, weekly, and monthly operations while addressing urgent issues.
- Decision-Making: Make confident choices on repair costs and resource management.
- Problem-solving: Quickly identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain meticulous records and follow up on essential details communicated in passing.
- Knowledge of Regulations: Stay updated on laws, regulations, and DOT standards, ensuring compliance for all vehicles and employees.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks effectively.
- Driving Requirements: Ability to drive large flatbeds into the city and pass DOT certification. An early start on driving days is required.
