Account Manager, MHPAEA

The Account Manager, MHPAEA assists with the development of Non-Quantitative Treatment Limitation (NQTL) Analyses, required by the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA), for group health plan clients. This position offers the opportunity to help group health plans come into compliance with federal requirements addressing coverage equity for mental health care and substance use disorder treatment. The focus of this role will be multi-faceted, ultimately working collaboratively with our customer success team, software development team, executives, and clients. Your role will include elements such as data collection and validation, communication, client relationship management and other activities.

This position requires superior communication, analytical, writing abilities, and interpersonal skills. A commitment to teamwork, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage time, handle multiple priorities, and work independently are also essential. The qualified candidate must be self-motivated, able to work autonomously and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Collect and analyze benefits plan documentation and operations
  • Work with clients to gather necessary health plan data
  • Facilitates a critical communications role by coordinating with product owners, sales execs, and clients
  • Meet regularly with other members of the team to discuss progress and find new ways to improve processes
  • Ensures the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to client needs and objectives
  • Generate progress reports for clients and management as needed
  • Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
  • Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any communications, expectations, and updates
  • Manage multiple projects and ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to client needs and objectives
  • Conduct research on regulations by reviewing regulatory bulletins and other sources of information
  • Support other aspects of compliance services practice as needed
  • Use innovative and effective methodologies to support compliance efforts
  • Look for improvements to compliance services processes and procedures to support efficiency and growth
  • Other office duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Business, Economics, Political Science; Government or similar
  • Prior HR/Benefits experience a plus. Preferred: Practical experience with MHPAEA, ERISA, ACA and/or Section 125
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) with a commitment to client satisfaction
  • Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously
  • Goal oriented and can work with a sense of urgency in completing responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills including prioritizing, scheduling, and meeting deadlines
  • Extremely strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and etiquette with a commitment to client satisfaction
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously
  • Experienced and skilled in computer systems in a Windows-based environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate clearly and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to collaborate in a globally distributed environment across multiple time zones

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This can be a fully remote or hybrid remote and in-office position, depending on location. This job operates in a professional office environment, whether in person or remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.

Expected Hours of Work:

Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week, following an agreed-upon schedule.
