Safety Representative (Remediation Experience) Hazardous Material and Waste
4 month contract position | 1099 and W2 welcome to apply. This position does not pay travel, per diem or relocation.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will oversee health and safety programs for environmental remediation and earthwork projects, ensuring compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 & 1926.65 and other regulations. Responsibilities include conducting site safety audits, air monitoring, and risk assessments; implementing PPE and respiratory protection programs; providing safety training (including HAZWOPER and OSHA 30-hour); and ensuring emergency preparedness. Strong leadership, incident investigation skills, and regulatory knowledge are essential. First Aid/CPR certification required.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of remediation experience required
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training with appropriate 8 hour refresher required
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Card (valid within past 5 years) required
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.

- Ability to wear various levels of PPE, including Level B, C, and D. Medical clearance and fit testing may be required.
