About the Role :
Responsible for providing the leadership to develop the department's short-term and long- term strategies to enable the company to achieve those goals. Oversees the processing for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages are processed through the ERP system and warehouse sites safely and efficiently. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for establishing standard work, goals, and initiatives for the logistic and material coordinators, as well as the Pre-Lam team with the support of the Vice President of Supply Chain.
This role will be based onsite 5 days week at our Somerset, NJ location.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Create and manage the logistic's and material's budget; including but not limited to warehousing, labor, and freight.
- Monitor standard warehousing procedures such as receiving, picking, packing, wrapping, and preparing shipping documents for efficiency and quality of throughput.
- Establish and maintain transportation relationships including negotiating contracts that create strong and mutually beneficial partnerships that result in cost savings.
- Ensuring that all shipments are delivered on time, within budget, and according to customer and PCI compliance.
- Assist in managing facilities such as warehouses, shipping docks, and 3PL storage lots to ensure they are safe and operational.
- Communicate and connect with both executives and warehouse employees and balance the demands of each.
- Maintains in-process inventory at work centers, supermarkets, and in Kan Ban ensuring full material availability.
- Secures warehouse contents against loss and / or damage.
- Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times.
- Works to ensure associates and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards.
- Develop and implement standard work within production scheduling and transactional functions.
- Communicate KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) from the strategic annual plan so that each associate is aware of expectations and deliverables.
- Work with supply chain management in the design of the "lean factory" and the pursuit of value stream improvements.
