Full Time - Monday-Friday
6:00am-2:30pm
Qualified Candidate Starting Wage - $17/hour
Position Overview: An SMT Operator is responsible for the set-up and operation of SMT machines to produce electronic circuits to IPC standards. The SMT Operator works with SMT equipment, which includes pick-and-place machines, screen printers, reflow ovens, and FiFo machines.
Essential Job Functions:
- Set-up, load, and operate SMT machines according to work order specifications.
- Monitor SMT machines during production and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on SMT machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Verify SMT components using Fluke meters, or similar, for defects and quality assurance.
- Inspect finished circuits for quality and accuracy per IPC standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Provide training to new SMT Operators.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with SMT machines preferred. (Universal/Fuzion and Siemens Siplace experience is a plus.)
- Understanding of electronic components, polarity, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IPC-610 standards is a plus, but not required.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Operators are typically on their feet 50-100% of the shift.
- Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
