Position Overview:
The Certified Account Coordinator (CAC) is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer support is provided to our certified Aerospace and Defense customers. This requires communicating effectively, verbally and written, with customers, commercial teams, supply chain teams and other stakeholders. The CAC will perform various complexities of sales order entries and order administration support activities for customer accounts. This role requires expertise in AS9120 certified account protocol and documentation requirements. Additionally, this role acts as an expeditor between the team and AS9120 certified customers to ensure our customer commitments are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate the order fulfillment process in a manner that promotes building and maintaining positive, effective relationships with external and internal customers and according to the AS9120 quality requirements.
- Respond to (receive and acknowledge) inquiries (RFPs) received through phone, email, B2B, customer portals and/or written correspondence from both external and internal customers.
- Generate and track quotes through fulfillment process.
- Regularly conduct contract review and PO receipt, including quality provisions and terms and conditions of sale. Work closely with contract review team to ensure proper documentation and paperwork flow-downs for all Certified Accounts.
- Engage AR team to monitor payments and adherence to agreed-to payment terms and ensure healthy business growth.
Communicate with customers, Aerospace and other Team Members to serve as liaison between all parties involved in the order fulfillment process.
- Communicate all special requests, modifications to orders, backorders and shipping delays or cancelled orders to appropriate internal and external customers.
- Collaborate effectively with all Team Members to provide seamless service to external customers.
Maintain accurate customer pricing in the ERP; confirm price support and update records; provide basic price quotes.
Utilize industry knowledge to provide service options to customers; engage the Aerospace Team, Sales Reps and Technical Support when appropriate.
Expected Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years related experience and/or training in quality environment or Aerospace (AS9100) related field
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures related to customer service including experience with Aerospace grade, perishable materials
- Strong knowledge of Aerospace and Defense customers’ requirements; devote time necessary to understand customers’ business; display a genuine interest in each customer’s specific business needs, including product stocking requirements/forecasts, document support (MSDS, C of A), etc.
- Proficient in MS Office software, including Word and Excel
- Ability to learn internal database and software systems (i.e., SAP)
- Associate's degree in a business-related field
Additional Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in a business-to-business account support and distribution role.
