What are the responsibilities and job description for the Composite Technician position at Compotech, Inc.?
Compotech is seeking a hardworking, self-motivated, intelligent Composite Technician for a full-time position that supports manufacturing and R&D projects. The ideal candidate has experience with composite manufacturing and a strong attention to detail. On the job composite-specific training will be provided for candidates with basic fabrication skills similar to carpentry or autobody. Primary duties and responsibilities are:
- Follow instructions/drawings on positioning fiberglass material
- Cut, grind, and sand fiberglass parts
- Mix resins, putties, and catalysts at proper ratios
- Care and maintenance of hand and power tools
- Inspect and execute repairs
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Ability to work occasional overtime when required
- Demonstrate familiarity with shop tools and techniques regarding vacuum infused composite manufacturing and general wood/metal fabrication
- Compliance with safety procedures and regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
