The Senior Director - Investments reports to the Chief Investment Officer and is a key member of the Compound Planning investment team. As the Senior Director - Investments, you are responsible for supporting the overall design and management of the firm’s investment offerings. This position requires an in-depth understanding of financial markets including experience with both public and private market securities and funds, as well as the ability to clearly communicate investment strategies to Wealth Advisors and clients. You will be an active participant on the Investment Committee, contributing to investment discussions and supporting the execution of Committee decisions, as well as act on behalf of the CIO in his/her absence.

General Description
The Senior Director - Investments reports to the Chief Investment Officer and is a key member of the Compound Planning investment team. As the Senior Director - Investments, you are responsible for supporting the overall design and management of the firm’s investment offerings. This position requires an in-depth understanding of financial markets including experience with both public and private market securities and funds, as well as the ability to clearly communicate investment strategies to Wealth Advisors and clients. You will be an active participant on the Investment Committee, contributing to investment discussions and supporting the execution of Committee decisions, as well as act on behalf of the CIO in his/her absence.
Responsibilities:
- Support the work of the investment team to deliver a world class investment platform, including:
- Identifying, reviewing and recommending investment solutions across both public and private markets.
- Developing and monitoring model portfolios and other value added investment offerings for wealth advisors and their clients.
- Assisting in the formation and communication of the firm’s capital market assumptions and asset allocation recommendations.
- Enhancing and overseeing the due diligence process for investments on the platform.
- Overseeing all investment strategies, including performance tracking and alignment with asset allocation targets.
- Working closely with Trading and Operations teams to efficiently implement our investment platform at scale and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborating with Wealth Advisors, Business Development, Marketing to represent and evolve our investment offerings to scale business growth.
- Engaging with the Legal and Compliance teams to ensure investment choices meet all regulatory requirements.
- 10 years of experience working in the investment team of an RIA or asset manager.
- Experience scaling an investment platform.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and portfolio construction.
- Experience with due diligence processes for public and private investments.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Demonstrated technical skills that have been applied to financial modeling and data analysis and visualization.
- Experience with financial tools/platforms such as Ycharts, Orion Risk Intelligence, Morningstar, or similar.
- Awareness of market trends, macroeconomic conditions, and investment vehicles.
- Experience collaborating with Wealth Advisors to explore investment options that align with client objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver clear and effective written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational skills to manage on-demand requests, projects and daily duties.
- Ability to work independently but also work within a team structure.
- Passionate about markets and investing in both public and private securities.
- CFA designation or candidate preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Clean U-4 and U-5 history
Salary : $125,000 - $160,000
