Experienced Chemistry Analyst
CIAL:
We are an FDA registered testing lab, performing quality assurance testing for compounding pharmacies. We test
dosage forms for potency, stability, and sterility to make sure they meet quality specifications.
The specific position which is currently open involve analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients for potency,
identity, and stability, using various techniques ICP-OES, FT-IR, and titrations.
Summary:
Our ideal candidate is hard-working, trustworthy and able to work with the team to solve problems. We are seeking
an experienced analyst with sample prep experience that can train quickly on our instrumentation.
Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field (Required, preferred BS in Chemistry)
Experience:
• Laboratory Experience: 2-5 years (Required, CGMP Laboratory experience preferred)
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation (FT-IR, ICP-OES, KF, UV-Vis, OR, LC-RI, OSM, UHPLC,
etc.)
• USA work authorization: (Required)
• Experience with basic wet chemistry tests and methods (pH, chemical identification tests, Titrations, etc.)
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO, USP, FDA standards and guidelines
• Familiarity with chemistry and laboratory terminology
Responsibilities Include:
• Accurate and efficient execution of laboratory tests. The analyst will collect and present data in a well-
reasoned and accurate manner and maintain the laboratory environment according to cGMP guidelines.
• Preparation for and performance of chemistry tests on pharmaceuticals as recommended by current USP,
FDA, and ISO regulations.
• Accurately provide test results in a timely manner to management.
• Technical report writing to include use of LIMS to generate certificates of analysis.
• Assist in the training of new chemistry analysts.
• Maintenance of laboratory environment, to include cleaning and routine Quality Control activities.
• Monitor test status and conditions as described in work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs)
• Participate in method development/modification as needed.
• Engage in laboratory investigations.
• Suggest potential Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) measures to prevent deviations and/or
nonconformities.
• Internal communication and interaction with all personnel and regular communication with management.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by management.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee is often
required to sit or stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks. The employee must regularly lift and
/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50
pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision and depth perception.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; and
toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee will be required to wear appropriate PPE. The noise level in the work
environment is usually moderate.
