We are a fast-growing global reinsurance speciality company servicing the insurance markets of Lloyd’s, Europe and North America.

Due to growth, our UK-based Value Creation Senior Manager is looking for an additional Senior Claims MI Reporting Analyst to join our insurance claims team in North America, adding value to decision-making and operational excellence.

As part of a large insurance claims team, you’ll be working very closely with claims managers and handlers to understand the business we manage and analyzing the data to assist in developing claims handling strategies and plans. You will provide valuable intelligence to improve claims management performance and contribute to the Company's growth and targets. Finally, you will develop analytics to provide information, insights and solutions that contribute to strategic claims planning, decision-making and effective claims performance management.

This is the ideal opportunity for someone with a strong insurance / reinsurance claims background to move into a data-focussed role.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies and improve overall performance
  • Prepare regular monthly & quarterly reports for analysis by the Claims Team and senior management
  • Design and develop management information reports, dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence tools e.g. PowerBI and Excel
  • Work closely with Claims Management to understand their reporting needs and provide timely and accurate ad-hoc reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and reporting needs across the organization

Candidate requirements;

  • Right to work in this location
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within insurance or reinsurance claims, ideally with a familiarity with run-off insurance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or Computer Science
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and provide insights.
  • Advanced Excel Skills and experience creating data visualization – plus knowledge of other MS Packages – Word, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for querying data and building reports
  • Experience building MI and analytics reporting and dashboards
  • Great planning and organisational skills, allowing to manage own time alongside a diverse portfolio of projects.
  • Good stakeholder management skills, and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships across the business.
