Our therapist position provides one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients diagnosed with Autism and Related Disorders by implementing intervention plans directed by behavior analysts.
Position: RBT -Experienced
Clients: Children/ Pre-K -elementary age
Full-time / M-F Schedule
Compensation range: $24-$ 26.50 hourly, based on 2 years of experience in ABA & Registered with the BACB.
In-clinic setting with experience focusing on clients with:
- Difficulties with social interaction and heightened sensory sensitivities.
- Challenges in understanding social cues and struggles to maintain friendships.
- Interpreting nonverbal communication, such as facial expressions and body language.
- Engaging in repetitive behaviors and maintaining intense focus.
- Behavioral improvements across the spectrum during adolescence.
- Specialized programs focus on the specific needs of children with autism, including helping them developing self-esteem, and managing mood changes.
Responsibilities:
- Follow specific protocols for each client and implement individualized ABA programs as outlined in the treatment plan and directed by the BCBA.
- Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in improving social, communication, and daily living skills
- Document client sessions by recording data, writing detailed session notes, and accurately inputting timesheets.
- Conduct data collection to track the progress and outcomes of behavioral interventions.
- Collaborate and participate in supervision sessions and mandatory monthly professional development training.
- Provide support in behavioral assessments and functional analysis procedures.
- Support clients in community outings and social skills development
Qualifications:
- HS/GED Graduate
- US Citizenship
- RBT certification issued by the BACB.
- CPR & Safety Care Training
- Experience working with adolescents and young adults.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively
- Creative, fun, and engaging with clients.
- Must be able to move quickly and have the ability to lift at least 25lbs
- Dedication to work M-F.
- Adhere to CAP policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in data collection methods for behavioral analysis.
- Understanding of behavior management strategies.
