Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented MTA (MUST BE AN LPN/RN) to join our team at the Logan County Jail. The ideal candidate will be responsible for being the head nurse of the office. Completing schedules, working/covering shifts, and making sure things are followed through on appropriately.
Maintains a good working relationship with facility staff, 3c, staff, correctional, personnel, and outside agencies.
Maintains good communication with facility administration to ensure operations of medical and/or inmates are being met
Ensures the implementation of policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines initiated by the facility and 3c.
Provides guidance and instruction to medical staff. Delegate responsibilities within the scope of the employees' abilities.
Maintain open, regular, and effective communication with medical staff. Treat all medical staff equally and fairly.
On call for nursing emergencies and nurse staff needs. In times of emergencies, shortage, etc., partial or full shift coverage may be required. (If Applicable)
Coordinate the scheduling and assignment of medical staff, ensuring adequate coverage.
Responsible for reviewing and editing timecards and granting time off requests.
Assist in reviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, and ensuring certifications and licensing requirements for medical staff.
Participate in peer review activities, staff training, and MTA meetings as requested.
Notify the Regional Manager if there are problems within the medical staff.
Preform other duties as assigned by the facilities or 3c.
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Hours are 5a-5p. Minimum of 36 hours a week. $28 an hour
